My mom and I took a girl's trip to the Grand Canyon and I booked this tour for us as our first ever visit to the Canyon. Werner was the best guide!! He knew so much about the animals, people, plants, and geology of the Grand Canyon - his breadth of knowledge was really amazing! It was such an engaging tour packed with info (and he answered a lot of our random questions too) from someone who has a deep love for this area of the world and its history and people. This company is apparently the only tour company allowed to go into the Kaibab National Forest and approach the Canyon through back roads so we got to see a lot of the forest (and wildlife!) that some people never get to see! The jeep itself was very comfortable (Werner is an expert driver, we felt very safe!) and we were able to take the tour with the see-through flaps down on the sides of the open jeep and the heater cranked because it had snowed the morning we took our sunset tour and was pretty chilly! But we were offered warm Mexican blankets both inside the jeep and to walk around at the various lookout points outside that kept us toasty warm too. Werner was a gem and took so many pics of us with the Grand Canyon as a backdrop and his enthusiasm was absolutely contagious. We hit the jackpot with him as our guide! So great to be able to visit with and learn from a kindred spirit who loves nature and beauty as much as we do! And I don't have the words to describe the beauty of the Grand Canyon at sunset. It's astonishingly gorgeous - would highly recommend bringing Kleenex because you might find you've got "something in your eye" the first time this tour company guides you from the jeep to the first lookout point. The color scheme of the Canyon as the sun is sinking is indescribable and pics do not do it justice! I'd very much recommend this tour to anyone and we can't wait to travel back and book this tour again!”

We were a family of four, with two teenagers. This was a highlight of our trip! Carol was incredibly knowledgeable about nature and the canyon. We saw multiple types of animals including wild horses, a turkey, coyote, a family of elk and a majestic bull elk. She stopped for us to take photos of each and shared info about the animals and their habitats. She entertained all ages with humor. We had a family member who is disabled needed help boarding and she was incredibly accommodating at each stop to make sure we were comfortable and took photos of our family. We have taken many tours and recommend this one highly!”

“
Our tour huide was Nathan, he was funny, knowledgeable, and professional. We saw various areas if the Grand Canyon that we may not have been able to see on our own. That alone was worth the money. Nathan provided a history of the area, provided information on native and other wildlife of the area, and other perspnal anecdotes along the tour. Don't know if it was all scripted, but Nathan was an authentic dude nonetheless. The last stop, our sunset location, was awesome, plenty of photo opportunities on the tour. The day of our tour was rather windy, but we all marched on and had a great tour. Focus on the your and the sights no matter what time of year your visit because it provides insight on what the natives experienced and lived. Again, shout out to Nathan, he made the tour enjoyable and completed our trip.”
